Applicants must hold a recognised MQF/EQF Level 6 qualification (min 180 ECTS) with a Second Class or higher degree classification, OR a Level 6 qualification with 180 ECTS plus at least 3 years full-time relevant professional research experience.

Apply after you finish – within 12 months of completing the course, online through the Get Qualified portal using your e-ID. You can make up to 4 applications in any 5 years.

After approval
You'll get a Tax Credit Certificate in the portal. Check whether the credit already shows on your income tax statement; if not, send the Commissioner for Revenue an adjustment form and the RA10 form with copies of the certificates. Unused credit can be carried forward for up to 15 years.Details for the form
