Applicants must normally be at least 16 years old and hold a minimum of four ordinary level passes (SEC grades 1-5 or GCE/GCSE A-C) including Mathematics and English, plus attend an interview; a maturity clause allows students 21+ with an MQF Level 3 qualification and two years' relevant full-time employment to apply.

Have these ready to upload

Invoices and proof of payment – for every payment you made
Certificate or transcript – showing you completed the course
Declaration that the costs aren't reimbursed – e.g. by your employer
De minimis declaration – only if the course relates to your own business or self-employment

After approval

You'll get a Tax Credit Certificate in the portal. Check whether the credit already shows on your income tax statement; if not, send the Commissioner for Revenue an adjustment form and the RA10 form with copies of the certificates. Unused credit can be carried forward for up to 15 years.
