Applicants must possess a Master's degree (or equivalent MQF Level 7 qualification) in a warranted practicing profession such as psychotherapy, social work, psychology or counselling, have demonstrable knowledge of research practice at master's level, and be able to submit a proposal for the doctorate research.

Apply after you finish – within 12 months of completing the course, online through the Get Qualified portal using your e-ID. You can make up to 4 applications in any 5 years.

You'll get a Tax Credit Certificate in the portal. Check whether the credit already shows on your income tax statement; if not, send the Commissioner for Revenue an adjustment form and the RA10 form with copies of the certificates.
