For the Advanced level, either Level 1 and Level 2 are required, or an Accredited Certificate in Hairdressing, or a minimum of 3 years' experience in Barbering; target audience 16-65 years of age.

Your application pack
When to apply, what to have ready, and the details to copy into the official form. You submit it yourself.
Apply after you finish – within 12 months of completing the course, online through the Get Qualified portal using your e-ID. You can make up to 4 applications in any 5 years.

After approval
You'll get a Tax Credit Certificate in the portal. Check whether the credit already shows on your income tax statement; if not, send the Commissioner for Revenue an adjustment form and the RA10 form with copies of the certificates. Unused credit can be carried forward for up to 15 years.Details for the form
