MySkills
Pay for a course in the MySkills catalogue and get up to 80% back if you're employed, or up to 100% if you're not in employment – as cash, once you finish.
How much you get back
- Employed: up to 80% of the course cost
- Unemployed or not working: up to 100%
- Maximum €5,000 per application
- Worked out on the cost excluding VAT; the course must cost at least €100
Who can apply
- Anyone aged 15 or over, legally living in Malta, who has finished compulsory schooling.
- People aged 65 or over must stay in employment throughout the course.
- Self-employed? MySkills isn't open to the self-employed. Get Qualified is – see your options.
Rules worth knowing
- Only courses in the official MySkills catalogue qualify – every MySkills course on this site is in it.
- You pay the course yourself, and it must be your choice (not required by your employer).
- Apply before the last day of the course's structured training.
- Finish the course and send in your certificate to claim. If you drop out, there's no refund.
- You can't claim for a course you've already completed before.
- All training must finish by 30 June 2029, while funds last.
MySkills or Get Qualified?
You can use one scheme per course. A course paid for through MySkills can't also be claimed under Get Qualified. For most people who are employed, MySkills pays back more – see Get Qualified or MySkills?
